How do I stop stuttering (stammering)?
Every time I feel my confidence gets low, I begin to think about things a bit too much. When this happens, I will begin to stammer. It is really frustrating, when I want to talk to someone new, this would happen and its so noticeable that you are short on self-confidence. Please help.

expose yourself to things one step at a time
baby steps
you must find a way to boost your confidence
like talk in front of a class
or lead a group
yes you might stutter at first
but with time you will see that it gets easier
how is this so
well you’re more used to it
its nothing new anymore
have a great day!
p.s. it doesn’t matter if you stutter just get yourself out there
and talk more something that could boost your confidence
and before you know it
your stuttering it gone

Contact The Stuttering Foundation of America as that is where our family got help. Their book “Self Therapy for the Stutterer” worked wonders after working through it step by step. The book can be found here http://www.stutteringhelp.org/Portals/English/Book_0012_tenth_ed.pdf
Some medications that other stutterers have tried include lorazepam, citalopram, celexa, and buspar. Ask your doctor about trying an anti-anxiety medication while you are working on your stuttering. Be aware that your stuttering may be better than the side-effects of the medication, though.
Each stutterer is different, and a therapist who specializes in treating stuttering will be able to determine what will help you the most as they work with you.
The Foundation also has a list of speech therapists who have been trained to work with stutterers
