I stutter and need help.?

Does anybody know a cure for stuttering. I’ve been through 10yrs of speech therapy and have even tried an auditory feedback device (speech easy) nothing seems to work. Stuttering runs in my family my father has outgrown his and my sisters still have theirs but not as extreme. Any suggestions?

Pl. consult a speech-therapist.

See a voice & speech therapist, they work with those issues all the time. Your Therapist either isn’t very good or you have not been working with them. Yes it can be hereditary. But with proper help and motivation it can be worked though.

my cousin use to studder and how we got her from doing it was by making her stay calm and think well before she spoke and then told her to practice speaking slowly…then after her always practicing she was got it mastered! the key for her was to slow down and not try and speak to fast wish you the best of luck!

my brother has a stuttering problem! he had it since childhood. it not really a cure. just think before you say what you want to say, it will be easier. you have to practice too. it’s very hard, because my brother is 24 and he is still fighting it every day. just practice and you will be fine. and don’t let no one put you down as a person.

I read a book once about two girls who were best friends.
One of the girls stuttered, but not when she was around her best friend.
In a relaxed environment, you may find that you will not stutter as much. : )
People who pick on people for something they can’t help (ex. stuttering) should think of how they would feel if they had a stutter and people were mean to them.
Anyway, if others in your family outgrew it, then there is a good chance that you will too! : )
And, if you don’t outgrow it, maybe it is just one of those cute, quirky things that make everyone who they are! : )
Hope this helps! : )
