I’ve been stuttering. Will speech therapy cure this?
I’ve noticed that I have been stuttering a lot, especially when I am really excited. In many cases, I would get overly excited about something and my sentences would make no sense. Or, I would pause a lot (or say “like” many times) in the middle of a sentence because I either forgot what i was saying or I don’t even know what I am saying. I just blank out :( So what do you guys think?

N N N NO
It may. Stuttering is mostly an affliction of males, but females are sometimes subjected to it. Often a parentectomy is necessary for a full cure.
Me too!
I dont think speech therapy will help
You just need to remember to take it slow. Honestly when I was a kid I was in speech class for S’s for 5 years and never passed. I fixed my s’s myself. Same with stuttering, when you get excited just take a breather, try to sort it out in your head before you let it run out of your mouth.
no man just talk while u r in the shower or going number 2 with time u will get better or even better when u stutter ask ur mom or dad to make u stop rite away adn rephrase ur sentence
It may help. It depends on why and when you stutter. Speech therapy can each you techniques to reduce the number of times you stutter and the length of time it takes for you to get the word out.
As for losing track of what you are going to say, it happens to everyone. Maybe you are trying to jump into conversations and are not being given a chance, so you just start talking.
A new report was issued that shows people who eat a healthy diet and are not overweight have better memories.
We old people do blank out sometimes, too.
my brother used to have that exact problem. but after years of speech therapy he got better and now he barely ever does it! good luck!
I don’t see why it wouldn’t. Stuttering is a speech disorder, and speech therapy may fix it. But of course it will take years.
There is no “cure” for stuttering, at least not for stutterers who stutter because of genetics. If you haven’t always stuttered, you may need to destress or get more rest. Find out more at http://www.stutteringhelp.org
