speech therapy helped you?

What does speech therapy help you with? Can they help people who have trouble finding words and slightly heisitate when talking? Did speech therapy help you? Im asking because Im thinking about getting therapy because i have a minor stutter and am at a loss for words and hesitate a lot in my speech, but it cost a lot of money. 80 bucks a session and i don’t have health insurance
